What Quarantine had Taught Me

Welcome to the eighth day of 2021. Is it good? Is it bad? It depends on what you face today. Many of us had trying to pick a new hobby, build a good habit and maybe doing something productive while we need to stay at home last year. Some of it might going well, some might be not but, we all learn something from quarantine (I hope so…) and here is mine:
1. Personal Space
Some of us that
stay with family, some stay alone in their apartment, some might have to stay
with their roommate. One thing for sure, as I go through quarantine, as much as
I love to be around people, I do hate it when my personal space got invaded
without my permission.
I do know they mean well… but sometimes relaxing alone in your room isn’t a bad idea. Each of us recharge ourselves in different ways, some might love the crowd, some love the quiet ambience, some of us love to chill with books, while others love to be active and doing physical activities. You can do whatever you want, just never forget to respect what other people prefer to do.
2. Stay Connected
Let’s be honest, all of us are pretty much grateful for the existence of internet. We can always be connected with those that we love no matter how far they are. We can do FaceTime, message them from Instagram, Facebook and etc.
Internet had
become today’s generation great escape. Just like many other good things that have
all the bad side, internet can’t be safe all the time. Through this, I just
wanted to let every single person that read this to stay safe in whatever side
of internet you are right now. Make sure to not disclose every single thing about
your life through the internet, you don’t know what will happen… so stay safe everyone!
3. To do things in your own pace
I’m telling you this because I can understand any of you that felt like a failure whenever someone is literally 100 steps ahead you. It is so frustrating as you go on about your day and start to feel like you’re not going to fit into anything like how other people do.
The one that typing this isn’t a billionaire or a successful young person. I’m still trying to figure things out by myself, I try to be as fast as possible but when I push myself too much, it felt like everything broke within a snap. The fact that I become so anxious since I feel like I’m unprepared for the world only making it worse. So… this is what I do (you can try if you want to), I’m trying my best to make a schedule/routine everyday and make a review whether I actually able to get through the day or not.
Is it working so
far? I don’t know… but I’ll keep on doing it. One of my favorite Youtuber once
said, “I learn to rest, not to quit”. If you feel tired, then rest. If you feel
burnout, take a break. Quitting wasn’t always the answer. Taking a break wasn’t
a sin either so… be patience, don’t be so hard on yourself ☹,
and take care! <3
