Reset = Restart

I was dumbfounded, devastated, and frustrated. The blue in front of me didn’t offer me any calm at all. Only fear and hopelessness. All the data that I’ve collected, all memories, music, and even videos that I cherish and listen to from time to time. Everything comes to me at once as my eyes are glued to the monitor in front of me.

Clicking here and there, I try to restart it over and over again but you know the obvious result: nothing.

I give up

Turn it off and putting it back to where it belongs.

When I finally bring it to where it can be fixed. I spend at least three days of the torment of when will things become better. Is this karma? Am I really that hopeless? All my data will be saved right?

Trying my best to sprinkle a bit of hope in the middle of my darkened heart. Keep my head up, pushing it all aside, and try to not think much of it. Then my phone ring, “Your laptop is all fixed!”

Oh! I was filled with pride and happiness, but once again everything crushed down when I see the clear white folder. Nothing can be saved. It's all gone, none of it even left. Like literally none.

I let out a sad sigh… but the smile never left. I go home, my dad trying to cheer me up. Making some jokes which I feel bad for not laughing at. Turn it on again, now in front of it, and finally typing this for you to read.

On my way home, as I hold onto my laptop tightly, despite this feeling of hopelessness… There is a little bit of hope and peace inside. Why? Simply because of these:

    1. When life goes on Reset, all you need to do is Restart (this might seem harsh… I’m sorry)

Just like how obvious the title is. As much as I am sad about it. Things happened, and sometimes they’re unchangeable. It might be frustrating to start again but it's better than staying silent and do nothing. The opportunity is still there, whether you believe it or not.

    2. Take your time

When you go to restart, it won’t be easy. Why? Simply because you need to adapt all over again and it might seem annoying. Therefore… take your time. Knowing that every little step you took will be matter anyway. Do not rush it! You might stumble and hurt yourself.

    3. Remember and know that you try your best

Starting all over again after everything crashed down on you is always frustrating. The fact that you decided to do it, it's amazing! Remember, you did try your best to reach this point, appreciate yourself.
